Short answer
NotchPop Notes keeps a selectable list of small notes in the island and saves edits locally as you type. It is useful for nearby reference text, but it does not create sticky windows scattered across your desktop or claim synchronization with Apple Notes.
Choose a note list or a visible desktop reminder
A sticky window remains in your desktop arrangement, while an island note is something you open when you need it. If your requirement is text that stays visible beside a particular window all day, a sticky-note app may fit better. NotchPop's Notes is intended for small references you can reach from one consistent place.
Use separate notes for separate subjects: a meeting question list, a setup reminder and a short project reference should not become one endlessly growing block. Longer documents, collaborative material and formal records belong in a full note or document system with the features your work needs.
Create and revisit a note
- Open Notes and choose New note.
- Enter a recognizable title and useful body text.
- Create another note if the topic is independent rather than appending everything to the first.
- Select a note from the list to return to its editor; review the text before reusing it.
The list shows a preview and update information to help distinguish entries. Edits save locally as you type. That convenience is not a claim of cross-device sync, shared editing or an external backup. Move important material to the place where you maintain authoritative records.
Keep retention deliberate
Delete an obsolete note only after checking which entry is selected and whether you need its contents elsewhere. A tidy list makes similar titles easier to tell apart. Avoid storing tokens and passwords in an ordinary note; use the intended credential storage instead of relying on a convenience editor.
Use Scratchpad for a temporary draft with counts and a Copy action, or clipboard pins for snippets you repeatedly paste. These are separate workflows, so choose the one that matches whether you need a retained thought, an editable draft or a saved copy.
