Short answer
When a calendar event available to NotchPop contains a recognized Google Meet URL, its meeting action opens that destination. The browser and Meet then handle account access and joining. Opening the link is not the same as automatically entering the meeting with a chosen microphone.
Put the actual meeting link in the event
A useful quick-join flow begins with a real event and its correct URL. Check the invitation in the calendar system on your Mac. The island is not creating a new Meet meeting or searching the web for a call with the same title; it needs the destination associated with the event.
If the event is missing, resolve calendar access and synchronization first. If it appears without a meeting action, inspect the stored link information rather than repeatedly reopening the calendar. An unsupported, absent or malformed URL needs correction at the source.
Open and verify before joining
- Open Calendar in NotchPop and select the intended date.
- Read the event name and scheduled time.
- Use its meeting action when the recognized link is available.
- In the browser, confirm the meeting and account, then review camera, microphone and speaker choices before joining.
The join destination may require the appropriate Google account, an invitation or admission by the organizer. Those controls belong to the meeting service. A link opening successfully does not grant access to a restricted call or mean the island chose the account you intended in a browser with several signed-in profiles.
